It's a Rockin' Horse Round Up Food Truck Benefit!
Thursday, August 22 at 5:00pm-Dark
Come out on a beautiful summer evening in support of a local nonprofit, the North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center, located on a 28-acre farm in Orange County.
Family Friendly Farm Fun~
Your Donation will help Children and Adults with Disabilities
Pony up to gourmet food trucks serving savory and sweet local fare. Let Only Burger, Chirba Chirba Dumplings, Mac Ur Roni, Local Yogurt on the Go prepare dinner and dessert for you!
Enjoy live music donated by Tom Maxwell and the Minor Drag and cold beer on tap from Carolina Brewery!
Breathe in that country air while the kids free play in the wide open spaces! Kids of all ages love to romp on the farm, our playground and basketball court too. See a dynamic Hippotherapy and therapeutic riding demonstration in the huge arena and the life-changing work happening right in our local community. As the sun sets over this lovely farm, just relax, chat with friends, and take a stroll with the horses calmly munching in the pastures. Visit with Daisy, one of the Hippotherapy ponies, and the honorary mascot of the new Orange Grove Fire Station 3, under construction right next door. To celebrate the new station, a fire truck will join the food vendors especially for this event.
From 5 pm to dark, celebrate and support a nonprofit from Orange County established over 35 years ago. Join together to help local children and adults with disabilities maximize their potential with the aid of a horse. Your donation stays local!
The NC Therapeutic Riding Center empowers children and adults with physical, emotional, mental and social challenges to create active, healthier and more fulfilling lives through equine-assisted activities and therapies.

Finding MORE Inspiration on Pinterest
Pinterest strikes again! I have actually established a Pinterest time limit per day...it was necessary. If I didn't, who knows how much time would be eaten away by this wonderful yet extremely dangerous online tool? I dare not even consider the possibilities!Instead of focusing on the negative, please enjoy this lovely collection of lavender eye candy pulled directly from Pinterest...

BEAUTIFUL photographs of the 2013 Harvest Celebration
In addition to the wonderful painters that attended the Lavender Harvest Festival this year, we also had multiple photographers (amateur and professional) to visit us as well. One such photographer was Elizabeth Perez. She is a lovely, young women who visited us Saturday with her husband and children AND then again alone on Sunday.
The next week, she very kindly sent us most of the photographs she took both days to use in our future eNewsletters, blog posts, etc. Oh how we LOVE our farm friends!
Her Facebook page describes her as a "photographer in progress" but after seeing her pictures, we think she is making excellent progress! Make sure to leave a comment, etc on her page to let her know how much you like her photographs of our Celebration too... https://www.facebook.com/ElizabethPerezPhotography
