Right now, I really don't think the lavender plants could possibly be any more beautiful...so green and lush. Hard to believe that just six weeks ago everything was sleepy and grey. The only thing more beautiful is the fireworks of FULL bloom!
And based on the initial bud counts, in VERY full bloom they will be...soon! A true feast for the eyes. Have I mentioned lately how very much I love our farm??Moving on to important business...after much anticipation (insert drum roll, please), we are excited to begin our bimonthly Sunshine Lavender Farm product giveaway!! For our first lovely gift, I have chosen the ever so fragrant, ever so soothing, Lavender Bath Salts. This jar is filled (16 oz to be exact) with yummy sea salt and crushed "sunshine lavender farm" exclusive lavender florets. Also included is a muslin bag to fill and use in your very own relaxing bath.
Aren't you relaxed now after just reading about this wonderful product?
Cooking!
ReplyDeleteHard to pin down to just one. I guess smelling. LOL. Is that acceptable?
ReplyDeleteI hope to visit your farm. My favorite would be lavender lemonade!
ReplyDeleteI have not had much exposure to lavender so I can't say I use it for much other than sniffing and saying "ahhhh!" But I have recently purchased my first lavender plant and I look forward to cooking with it and using it for other practical purposes like keeping stored items fresh. The coolest thing that I have seen it used for is in the movie "a good year" where they used it to keep scorpions away in a beautiful French villa :)
ReplyDeleteSo anywho, I'd love to win :D
Like Laurie, I too love to have lavender lemonade!!
ReplyDeletelavender lemonade - although I think I might try making some levender mint juleps for the run of the roses tomorrow!!!! mmmmmmmm......
ReplyDeleteoh - one other thing I heard about lavender that I LOVE is that Paul Newman used to wear it when outdoors - as a bug repellant - imagine Paul Newman walking around smelling like lavender - geez, does it get any better??!!!??
ReplyDeleteI have three of the lavender plants purchased last year and have enjoyed the change of the seasons. I think my favorite pratical use of lavender is the lavender soap. I bought several bars at your Christmas gathering and gave them for gifts. I gave myself a couple of them, of course.
ReplyDeleteI love the bath salts. What I didn't know was how much my husband would love it. He has almost used up my jar. I guess I'll be buying a lot more of it
