FUN Fall Giveaway!

It's been a rough week. One of my kids has some mysterious allergic reaction all over her body. We have been to the doctor twice in four days and received very little information about what it could be and the best way to treat her. Believe me, she is VERY vocal about how uncomfortable she is...

One of the diagnosis is dermatitis due to mites (YUCK, I know). So, I have spend several hours EVERY DAY changing beds, washing sheets, vacuuming the whole house and preparing soothing baths. Not such a bad time of year to be doing all these things as I do love to clean the house from top to bottom at the change of a season! Makes everything seem so fresh and helps me feel ready to conquer what lies ahead. Maybe you feel the same way?

I was definitely hoping so...

In honor of fall and all the cleaning up it brings, our newest giveaway is HERE.

We are giving away a 32 oz size of our very own, Sunshine Lavender Farm "Lavender Laundry Booster". Use it to naturally scent and boost your laundry detergent. Add 1/2 cup along with either liquid or powder laundry detergent for super cleaning power with a fresh lavender fragrance. Nice exclusively for sheets, towels and everyday washing. It is so yummy!

To win this awesome giveaway, please leave a comment indicating your favorite thing about fall...I will randomly pick a winner next Friday October 19th at 6:00 PM EST.

Just a note, another one of my FAVORITE things to do in fall is to make a fresh pot of soup. In between cleaning and folding and surviving this morning, I made a HUGE pot of "Garlicky White Bean Soup with Dark Greens". I found the recipe on Pinterest earlier this week...can I get a shout out in regards to the AWESOMENESS that is Pinterest?? YAY!!

If you are interested, here is the recipe link- Garlicky White Bean Soup with Dark Greens. ENJOY!!

  2. As fall is my favorite time of year for many reasons, there are many things about it that I do so love:
`pumpkins -and the pie made from them
    `scarves
`pencils and other school supplies -because I love buying them in the fall (tho they are readily available all year)
`The beautiful changing of leaves -must get to the mountains soon to enjoy the full experience
    `crisp mornings and warmer days
    `sweaters
    `Apples -and apple pie!
`Big piles of crisp leaves to jump in
`And my most favorite thing about fall is that's when I was married to my best friend :-)
Thus making it the perfect season!

  5. One of my favorite things about fall is to watch the leaves changing color and I love the crips air. The bugs go where ever it is they go and leave me in peace. I can go on and on so I'll stop with that.

  6. My favorite thing about fall (which is my favorite season) is that the sun shines so brightly through the clear air that everything looks clean and fresh even when it isn't, and the air is crisp and full of the future. These days are so beautiful they break my heart.

  7. Fall, like the other seasons, is a period of change. Some welcome it with open arms while others wish that summer would never end. Personally, I love fall with its dazzling colors, cool mornings but still pleasantly warm afternoons, & especially the migration of our feathered friends. But, unfortunately (for me at least!), winter is on the way soon.

  10. I like the way the light of day is softer, especially in the mornings, when autumn has arrived. I live on the NC coast so don't see lots of trees with changing leaves.

  11. I love the first colorful leaves on the ground that crackle when you shuffle through them - while my roses have a last seasonal burst of colors.

  12. I love that it's finally cool enough to wear sweaters, jackets, and gloves! The colors are breath-taking, the air feels clean. The light is different - especially after it rains - it's so beautiful and fleeting.

  14. One of the best things I love about fall is the fresh smell of the air. It makes everything smell clean and fresh and new. The sunrises and sunsets are more red and deep and make you feel great when you wake up and see the sunrise! The sunsets are so peaceful looking.

  15. Mmmm. The colors and smells of fall. Fresh pumpkin bread in the oven. Fresh cranberries will be available soon, meaning more breads in the oven. Roasting oysters. Bonfires and marshmallows. Fresh leaves for the compost. Soups and stews on the stove. The smell of sugar at the State Fair. A nip in the air. Looking forward to the first fire in the fireplace. What's not to love except that I have used up all my lavender laundry goods and miss drifting off to sleep wrapped up in the scent of lavender?

I hope the rash clears up soon. Itching can be miserable.

My favorite thing in Fall is the colors and God just seems to take HIS paintbrush and go to work everywhere.

  17. Days like today are what make me love fall so much. You couldn't have asked for more perfect weather, and seeing the leaves rain down from the trees in the breeze made me indescribably happy. Thanks for the chance to win the laundry booster and I hope your daughter recovers soon from the dermatitis!

    Take care,
